VALHOR manifesto: “Sustainable territories – make room for plants!”

At the Congress of Mayors, VALHOR unveiled its Manifesto “Sustainable Territories: Make Room for Plants!”, calling on public decision-makers to place plants at the heart of local strategies ahead of the 2026 municipal elections. Backed by a sector representing 47,000 companies, the manifesto highlights that plants are not decorative extras, but essential infrastructure for climate resilience, health, and quality of life.

The initiative includes a nationwide “Tour de France” to engage with elected officials until November 2026. VALHOR emphasizes four key assets: resilience, well-being, attractiveness, and excellence, with concrete actions ranging from green public procurement to the renaturalization of schools.
